There is a famous proverb ‘You Are What You Eat’.

Basically this phrase means that; what you eat in your daily life will effect everything in your general life.

So lets put this one to table and I will give you my thoughts. But first thing first lets make a TLDR for impatient readers.

TLDR; Yes! My own observation shows that this phrase is genuinely true. What you eat-drink is so much more important than how you are actually considering it. If you dont believe me just switch your diet to more clean and balanced one and see the result by yourself.

Yeah so lets back to table. Since I’m a guy who have experienced both utterly horrible diets (2 redbulls a day, pizza at 3 AM,tons of other fast foods) and clean diets I have couple sentences to say here.

Firstly I want to say you that horrible diets not just effecting your physical wellness but psychical as well. So if you visit KFC more than twice a week then you are not doing bad only for your physical appearance but mental health as well.

There are hundreds of researches pointing that having a bad diet is going to take away from mental stability.

Have you ever heard of gut bacteria ? Yeah this is an actual thing and researches showing that they are also quite effecting our brains.

What you eat is yes certainly important but what you drink is also no less important. Everyone loves coffee, especially office workers love it. So here is a secret about our lovely friend. Drinking coffee more than 3 cup a day may cause to anxiety. I also have experienced this one. I used to drink 4–5 cups coffee a day and this habit really brought me anxiety and insomnia.

Right amount of coffee is good for concentration but when you lose the track then the coffee starts to fighthing not for us but against us. So keep the balance.

Before I finish this article I want to remind you that drinking water is really important as everyone says. Especially when you wake up the first move should be drinking two glass of water.

There are tons of things to say about mental connection of nutrition but Im not going to hold you longer.

Finally yeah from my own experiences you are what you eat and what you drink.
