When one wants to give a title for David Goggins it really makes him think for a while. Because soldier,athleth,author or motivation speaker- not any of them fits him meanwhile he holds all of those titles.

I invented the word “human machine” or “robot” for him after I have watched his videos and read what he has done so far.

Google describes him as below;

David Goggins (born February 17, 1975) is an American ultramarathon runner, ultra-distance cyclist, triathlete, public speaker, and author. He is a retired United States Navy SEAL and former United States Air Force Tactical Air Control Party member who served in the Iraq War.
His memoir, Can’t Hurt Me, was released in 2018.

David is in the running competition

You can read about his life and success in internet but I want to point another characteristic of him. After I watched his speeches in Youtube I noticed that this man combines his soul with his physic. Yeah in every sort of sport the mentality is important but David’s approach is totally different. He approaches pain and physical endurance like Buddha. In one if his videos he said that he hates running and when he was running his foot was bleeding. He said himself that “okay my foot is bleeding but at the end of the run I wont get disabled, there will be an injury, later on it will be cured by itself. So all is okay.

In that run he sets the new record for Runner’s World organisation with 203.5 miles (327.5 km) run. This is the most impressing mindset and story for me by him. There are also tons of different stories and success stories.

David is certainly not your regular “motivation speaker”. He says “The thing about comfort zones is if you live in one for too long, it becomes the norm.” I agree with him for %100.

He also believes that when your mind says you that you are done of working and can not do more so then you are only went %40 of your gas tank. Which is another powerful approach. You can adopt his mindset and approach to issues in any aspect of your life, not the sport necessarily.

Here is his top ten rules.
